Fair warning...I'm about to vent!
Ok, I'm a friggin music major, therefore physics and American history are NOT needed! ( we will get to the american history in a minute)
Colleges and Universities are nothing but money making schemes. I should focus my credit hours, AND TUITION, on things I can use toward my chosen career path...like more theory or composition classes. NOT physics! If my conductor or one of my collaborators walks into my office one morning and demands that I solve some type of physics realted problem because the gravitaional pull of the earth is screwed up and WE, as music writers, MUST find the new value of gravity...I will kiss your butt!
And american history...please. If 12 years wasn't enough...i don't know what to tell you people. American history has been a topic of discussion with at least one of my teachers every year since friggin first grade! Since we are talking about grade school I would like to add how when you're in college...you don't get to grow up...because all of your instructors still think you're retarded...i'm sorry, mentally challenged.
Like homework...what's that about? If I sat my butt for an hour and a half in your friggin lecture guess what...I know what the heck I am doing. I don't need to do only the even numbered problems from the back of the book! I am not in junior high! I can listen and apply things!
And guess what? I am writting this in the library of the school I am currently attending. HA! Take that you money making joke of an educational institution!

You are so very correct when you say that they are only out to get your money.....They require you to take classes that in no way shape or form have anything to do with your major. I agree that people need to educate themselves and speak appropriately. They have no idea how absolutely ignorant they sound when they speak!
